The client
InPost UK has a national network of nearly 1,200 fully automated parcel lockers that are accessible 24/7, meaning no more queues or waiting in, enabling customers to collect, send and return parcels at their earliest convenience. All lockers are located in a variety of safe and secure locations including Morrisons supermarkets, Esso petrol stations and Transport for London sites.
The challenge
InPost UK ambition was to offer delivery service to as many retailers as possible and a decision was taken to integrate with leading eCommerce platforms on the market.
Magento, Shopify and Linnworks were selected to be first and NMedia delivered the project. These integrations were paramount to open doors to thousands of brands.
The result
We’ve built extensions for Magento, Shopify and Linnworks which are now approved by the platforms and published on relevant marketplaces. The integrations opened up doors to thousands of retailers to be onboarded and start shipping with InPost in a matter of days.
With these extensions, a new shipping method is added where a customer can navigate lockers in their area and select the most convenient. Locker information is stored within customer order and is communicated to InPost via API during fulfilment and shipping process.
Magento 2
Magento 1
This Magento module implements InPost Locker service allowing visitors to send their parcels to their locker of choice nearby.
Shopify
Shopify module being part of the roadmap can also be seen on the Inpost demo store.
Linnworks
Linnworks app was also part of the roadmap and is now available in merchant accounts who can print labels from their order management account. The app can be found in the integrations section.
